  2. I just read all about Goa after seeing a photo of the fisherwoman. I knew nothing about Goa and I was astonished by it beauty, history, architecture, religious harmony, etc. Part of our education should be teaching people that we need to dig deeper into other cultures and geography. Just as some people think of the United States as being “Hollywood.” I see that all of India is not Calcutta. You open my world, Chandleur. Thank you. ~Ginene

    1. Really India is a great country to explore. I think as of today any country is safe or unsafe. Goa is a very cool place. every one minds their own business. It has a totally Caribbean atmosphere. People come from all over the world to stay in hotels right next to the beaches where dancing and singing goes on deep into the night in Bars which sit on the beach. It is a must and of course it is a a culture shock at first but there must be something that makes people come again and again. After the rains, that is October to January is the best time to go. New year’s eve is a blast in all the hotels and restaurants.
